Fire incidents are gradually becoming rampant in different states in Nigeria and it is logical to blame it on the weather – the harmattan (It is characterized by the dry and dusty northeasterly trade wind, of the same name, which blows from the Sahara Desert over West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea.)
A post graduate hostel at Delta State University in Abraka is reportedly gutted by fire as confirmed by multiple witnesses on social media.
Though what caused the fire is still unknown at the time of filing of this report, efforts to put out the fire is still ongoing.
