Nigerian entrepreneur and former Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Ifu Ennada has cried out over the inflated prices of disposable face masks in Lagos after the first case of Coronavirus was confirmed.
Earlier today, the first Coronavirus case was confirmed in Lagos, Nigeria on an Italian man whom visited Nigeria for a business meeting.
Many have taken to Twitter share tips on how to control the spread of the virus which includes wearing face masks and using hand sanitizers.
Ifu Ennada has now complained about how people are now taking advantage of the situation by jacking up prices of disposable face mask. She revealed that the disposable mask she came across was sold for N15,000 instead of N750.
She wrote:
“Disposable face mask now 15,000 naira! No longer 750naira or 10,000 naira which was the latest price in Lekki this morning like I reported some mins ago. This video was sent to me by one of my sisters who’s on the mainland.
“Nigerians, we are our own problem. I hope these Pharmacies ripping people off their money also educate them on how to use and also inform them that only those who already have the Virus need to wear these face masks”.
