A large crowd of yet-to-be identified people have reportedly attacked the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma on Sunday while he was on his way to attend a function in Ohaji.
According to some sources, the governor was billed to attend a function in Ohaji when the incident occured.
It was also learnt that security operatives whisked Governor Uzodinma to safety as he was not allowed to come down from the car.
As at the time of filing this report, sources close to the Governor declined comments on the matter when contacted.
Sources told newsmen that, “the youths of Mmahu community who upon sighting the Governor’s convoy started shouting “Onye Oshi Vote, Onye Oshi Vote”, throwing bottles and weapons at the Bulletproof SUV of the Governor which eventually damaged the Governor’s car”.
