A 48-year-old New Mexico woman who was caught driving a stolen vehicle over the weekend allegedly told police she was pop singer Beyoncé Knowles.

Las Cruces Sun-News, reports that Surena Henry was nabbed early Saturday morning after an officer attempted to make a traffic stop. A report says she ignored the officer and continued to drive the stolen vehicle until she parked in front of her home. The officer who followed her said Henry refused to give him her real name and claimed she was Beyonce Knowles-Carter.

She told police she found the car keys inside the vehicle and decided to take it for a ride. Additionally, Henry claimed she saw the emergency lights but decided not to stop because she didn’t feel like it.

Las Cruces police reported that the vehicle was stolen between 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. The owner said he accidentally left the keys in the car or could’ve dropped them outside. Henry is charged with one count of the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, a felony, one count of concealing identity, a petty misdemeanor, and resisting or obstructing an arrest.
