Police arrest 37-year-old man for allegedly pushing his wife to death in Niger

Niger State Police Command have arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Abdullahi Musa for pushing his wife to her death.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the tragic incident happened in Tungan Bata village of Magama local government area of Niger state.

According to report, the suspect pushed her wife identified as Zainab Isah down in anger during a hot argument between the duo.

Zainab reportedly sustained a fracture on her neck as a result of the force in which she was pushed to the ground.

Zainab was rushed to the general hospital in New Bussa after an alarm was raised over her state but she later died as a result of the fall and the fracture on her neck.

The Police was notified by the elder brother of the suspect, Tsah Musa when it appeared like Abdullahi wanted to run away from the House.

The suspect, Musa was eventually arrested by the police and Musa confessed to the crime saying that it was anger that made him push his wife.

He added that he did not know the fall would lead to her death as it was just like one of their usual quarrels.

The Niger state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun said that the case has been charged to court.
