Prince Charles: Anthony Joshua put self in isolation after the British Royal tested positive for coronavirus

Anthony Joshua self-isolating after meeting Prince Charles before he tested positive for coronavirus

Hours after the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles tested positive to Coronavirus, heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua has gone into self-isolation.

The reason for his self-isolation is because he had a meeting with Prince Charles 16 days ago before he tested positive for coronavirus.

The 30-year-old IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight world champion met the Prince of Wales and the Queen on the 9 March at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

On Wednesday morning, it was announced that the Prince of Wales tested positive for coronavirus after he showed mild symptoms “but otherwise remains in good health”.

Following the news, an official spokesman has now confirmed that Joshua has not shown any signs of coronavirus and has spent this week self-isolating at home due to the government’s enforced lockdown.

AJ’s represenative said: “AJ is at home following government guidelines, he is fit and well.

“He wishes everyone affected a speedy recovery and a huge thank you to all the front line key workers.”

Earlier this week, WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champ Joshua tweeted: “Hi guys, hope everyone’s staying safe.

“It’s humbling to see people giving their everything right now to keep us safe. Shout out to everyone on the front-line.

“We see you, we appreciate you, we thank you and we’re in awe of you.”

AJ is scheduled to fight Kubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.
