The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has signed the Ondo State Dangerous Infectious Dieases (COVID-19 Emergency Prevention) Regulation, 2020 into law.
The new law is meant for the regulations for the good order, safety, security and public health of the state.
Speaking on the new law, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, said the governor exercised the aspects of the powers conferred on him by the Public Health Law, Cap. 124, Volume 3, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006, and pursuant to other Laws and enabling powers.
Ojogo stated that all action done prior to the commencement of the regulations to contain the spread of the Coronavirus Disease, 2019 (COVID-19) were ratified.
