Barely 12 hours after residents of some communities in Lagos state stormed the streets to defend themselves against robbers, hashtag #Lagosunrest has occupied the top spot of the Nigerian Twitter trends as residents of these communities narrates their ordeals and situations.

Days after President Buhari ordered lockdown owing to Coronavirus outbreak, several reports of robbers taking advantage of the lockdown to loot shops and also rob some households have emerged before the recent hashtag on Twitter.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the reoccurring incident has pushed residents into becoming vigilantes, as they also accused the police of portraying a lackadaisical attitude in curbing the escalated crime rate in the state.
