President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation at 8pm on Monday.
Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, made the announcement of the president’s impending broadcast in a statement Monday afternoon.
”President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020 at 8pm,” he said.
”Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”
The President is expected to address the Nation on the Covid-19 lockdown, deciding on whether to extend it or relax the lockdown placed on some states like Lagos and Ogun State.
Recall that the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, had on Sunday said only the President can determine when to lift the presidential lockdown order.
Ehanire in an interview said the President will make that announcement in his own time. We will give him the facts, he will consider the facts and make his decision using his wisdom,”
