It was a narrow escape and tragedy averted as three people reportedly survived a multiple road crash in Nnewi, Anambra State.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the crash occurred at Afor Nnobi Market involving four vehicles, a truck, two tricycles and a motorcycle.
According to report, sympathisers rushed the injured ones to hospital before the arrival of Federal Road Safety Corps officials.
Reacting to the development, the State Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) identified as Pascal Anigbo attributed the cause of the accident to speed limit violation.
Pascal said no death was recorded in the incident.
In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that no fewer than 17 persons escaped death in multiple crashes involving three vehicles on the old Enugu-Onitsha expressway in Anambra. The accident occurred on the Nkpor/Umuoji stretch of the road.
Mr Pascal Anigbo, the Public Enlightenment Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the crash to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
