Fire Razes Over 20 Shops In Kaduna

No fewer than 20 shops including a pharmacy was on Wednesday evening engulfed by fire in Kaduna State.

The incident started at about 7:00 pm on Wednesday along Constitution road in the state capital and the cause is yet to be known.

Unfortunately, most of the shop owners are not around due the lockdown imposed on the state as a result of the COVID-19.

However, residents of the area, as well as passers-by were seen making frantic efforts to put it out.

Recall also that there was a fire outbreak at the NNPC petrol station located along College Road in the Ogba area of Lagos State on Monday.

With the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), coming out publicly to announce that the fire outbreak at Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos destroyed atleast 30 vehicles.

“No casualty nor fatality was recorded, about 30 vehicles were affected. The combined effort of the emergency responders led to the salvage of properties and buildings nearby”, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA Director-general disclosed.
