PHOTOS: Three sister found floating on River in Ebonyi

Tragedy struck in Eboyi State after three sisters between the ages of 14 and 20 drowned in a river at Amaeze village in Ishiagu community.

According to reports, the three sisters who attended Comprehensive secondary school in Ishiagu, were found floating on the water, however what led to the deaths is yet to be uncovered.

The bodies of the siblings were recovered and have reportedly been buried beside the stream without caskets. The mode of burial was in compliance to the culture and tradition of Amaeze village.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel confirmed the incident and he said it was a case of sudden and unnatural death.

In a related news, the former SUG President of Delta State University (DELSU) identified as Efebe Augustine reportedly lost his life after drowning in a river located in Abraka, Delta State.
