Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye popularly known as Mr P has reacted after a  fan who fell into the hands of impostors while trying to play his lottery game, Zoom called him out on the micro blogging platform, Twitter.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Mr P recently started his own lottery business called Zoom and and the singer has since been promoting it on social media by sharing videos of him informing lucky winners.

However, it appears there are impostors using the singer’s name to scam unsuspecting and innocent fans. Lately, a fan sent Mr P a series of screenshots of messages between her and a man claiming to be the singer. The impostor scammed the fan of Twenty thousand Naira.

Realizing what had transpired between her and the impostor, she took to her Twitter page to call out Mr P and asked him to return her money. Mr P answered the fan scolding her for being unwise and dealing with an impersonator despite knowing that all his official social media accounts are verified.

He added that she shouldn’t hold him responsible for her misfortune as to play zoom cost only 500 Naira and not 30,000 Naira. Mr P wrote;

My Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are all verified. And you went ahead and chat up with a scammer because you wanted an easy way. Now you have been scammed by unknown person and you here ranting and accuse me. To play Zoom is just N500 not N30,000. ??????? be careful and be guided.
