My Husband Didn’t Die of COVID-19, Late Oyo Comissioner’s Wife, Ayoola Says

The wife of late Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kehinde Ayoola has refuted claims by some people that her husband might have died of Coronavirus infection.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the commissioner passed away on Thursday morning.

Olukemi Ayoola, while hosting sympathisers who thronged their Ibadan home yesterday, condemned suggestions that her husband might have died of Coronavirus infection.

She revealed that he died of heart-related diseases arising from insufficient rest.

Expressing his shock over his passage, Governor Seyi Makinde described Ayoola as a loyal friend who was dedicated to duty that cannot be questioned

” I met late Rt. Honourable Ayoola in 2002, when we worked together as members of the Fortune Group for the election of Senator Rasheed Ladoja. He also served as the Director-General for my 2015 campaign and the Deputy Director General for my 2019 campaign.

“He was a loyal friend with a dedication to duty that cannot be questioned. He will be sorely missed for his great oratory skills and his love for the people of Oyo Town and Oyo State. May his soul rest in peace.
