The Plateau State Police Command paraded Ali Muhammad, one of the kidnappers who killed University of Jos lecturer, Dr Nendi Drengkat.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the gunmen attacked the University of Jos Staff Quarters on Friday night, shot dead Dr. Drengkat and kidnapped his 6-year-old daughter, Joanna Drenkat and later called the family asking for N10 million ransom.
Reacting on the tragic incident, the state commissioner of police, Edward Chuka Egbuka disclosed on Sunday while parading the suspect at the state police command that the daughter of the killed lecturer and one other person were rescued during a gun duel with the kidnappers on the hills of Babale of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau.
The suspect lives in Tilde area of Jos but his father said it’s been over two years since he set his eyes on him.
In other news, the federal and Ondo state governments have agreed to return one of the suspected killers of Pa Fasoranti’s daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin, to the custodial centre after testing negative for COVID-19.
