Days after 215 Nigerians were evacuated from the United Kingdom as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the 215 returnees have recieved clearance certificates from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at their Abuja Isolation Center.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that it was an atmosphere of celebration on Saturday morning at the Isolation Center in Abuja as the 215 returnees could not hide their excitement over the clearance certificates after they have been isolated for 14days as recommended by the World Health Organisation.
According to the clearance certificate, all the returnees tested NEGATIVE to the Coronavirus and they were subsequently discharged.
In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that some Nigerians who were stranded in the United Kingdom following COVID-19 lockdown in the country on Friday arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
They arrived aboard a British Airway plane at the airport in the afternoon and are expected to be airlifted to Abuja where they will be quarantined for 14 days.
