The electricity grid which powers the entire country collapsed on Tuesday, leaving the part of the nation in darkness.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) confirmed the national grid collapse which has affected most parts of the country.
The country had between January and May recorded more than two collapses.
While confirming the incident, TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mba said that the collapse took place at 11:13Hrs on Tuesday.
TCN said investigations into the cause of the supply loss was carried out. While adding that the company is committed to ensuring grid stability and consistent bulk power supply, especially at this time of the pandemic,
She however assured that restoration is ongoing and at 90 per cent completed.
“The time of the system disturbance is 11:13Hrs of 2/06/2020. Restoration is ongoing and is over 90% complete
“Yes, but restoration is well advanced but not fully completed. Most states are back on the grid,” she said.
