Osun State Government on Monday announced its plan to meet with religious leaders to work out the modalities for the reopening of worship centres
This is coming after the Federal Government issued new set of directives and guidelines in the new phase of the easing of lockdown which begins today.
In a statement made available to WITHIN NIGERIA, the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode said the meeting with the clerics will ensure proper implementation of the new set of guidelines.
The statement reads:
“While we appreciate the patience of the citizens of Osun State so far, we are using this medium to urge citizens and residents not to be too anxious to assert the liberties contained in the new guidelines, so that we do not lose the gains that we have made over the last few weeks.
“Although the Federal Government’s new set of guidelines takes effect from June 2nd 2020, the State Government is appealing to the citizens and residents of the state to exercise some patience, while it holds meetings with religious leaders across the State to work out the modalities for the reopening of worship centres.”
