The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus is currently in a closed-door meeting with PDP Senators.
Secondus arrived at about 3 pm at the Senate wing of the National Assembly with other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
It wasn’t known immediately what was topical in Wednesday’s meeting, but a source in the party disclosed that they might discuss Edo State primary election and issues that bother on the recent congresses of the party.
Recall that recently the Senate Caucus of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP lamented what it described as a high level of marginalization by the National Working Committee, NWC of the party.
The PDP Senators had complained that as lawmakers, they were not taken into consideration, their inputs are not taken and opinion not sought by the National Working Committee of the party, hence, this might form one of the agendas of the closed-door meeting, just as the Senators were said to have complained bitterly that the NWC only accept the views of the Governors, thereby neglecting them simply because they do not have money like the Governors.
