Police reacts as armed robbers attack Pos shop, four sustained injuries in Plateau

Police in Plateau has confirmed the robbery attack that occurred in a Pos shop which led to the injury of four persons.

Recall that yet-to-be identified armed robbers reportedly stormed a PoS shop in Panyam District of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the incident happened on Sunday night, June 14 and four customers sustained gunshot wounds during a robbery attack.

According to residents of the area, the armed robbers invaded the area and started shooting in the air to scare people around as they headed straight to the PoS shop belonging to one Mr. Ifeanyi Ide.

A resident who prefers anonymity said; “Immediately they entered the shop, we heard gun shots and we concluded that they have killed the PoS operator. After the robbers have left, we got to know that he was left untouched but not the four people they met in his shop as they were shot and wounded,”.

Reacting to the incident, Plateau state police command confirmed the robbery attack.

The PPRO said an investigation has commenced into the matter.

The four customers are currently receiving treatment at the COCIN Rural Health Hospital, Panyam, it was learnt.
