Following the murder of 19-year-old Tallahassee, Florida-based Black Lives Matter activist of Nigerian origin, Toyin Salau, popular American rapper, Common has taken to his social media space to demand justice for the slain activist.
Reacting to Toyin’s death on Twitter, Common demanded justice for the activist, who he says ‘spent the last days of her life fighting for justice for her people.’
Sharing photos of Toyin Salau on social media, he wrote;
“#JusticeForToyin: She spent the last days of her life fighting for justice for her people. It shouldn’t be lost on us that Black Women have been at the forefront of these Movements. We have to stand up against violence happening to our Black Women and Girls. God Bless her soul.”
