Nigerian entertainment hub is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and arguably the best in Africa.
There have never been short supply of talents as new stars keep rising and making waves across the Nation. One of the stars earning global mark is Abbey Abimbola popularly known as “Crackydon”, the most sought-after actor and movie director in Malaysia.
Crackydon started his journey from Nigeria having featured in over 100 movies. His well spanned career has seen him explore India Bollywood industry before earning another move to Malaysia where he has dominated the movie industry.
At the age of seventeen, he became a member of the drama club at his college, Archbishop Aggey Memorial Secondary school, IlasaMaja, Lagos Nigeria. He had his first degree in Olabisi Olabanjo University before proceeding to Victoria International college Kuala Lumpur Malaysia where he completed a degree in Performing art, film and theatre.
He debut his acting career in Malaysia Film industry with a movie titled “BADANG” where he played the role of a stunt Actor and the Second Villain. The movie earned him notable recognitions and also paved way for streams of roles in other movies.
“Credits are expected when enough work has been exercised”, this phrase suits Crackydon as he as not only conquered the Malaysian movie industry but has also gotten the badge as the only black man with a Seniman Approved Card in Malaysia. His movie credits includes roles in Nivea Ad, Nann Kabali Alla, Kavaal3, Air mata surga, Journey Behind the lens, One Blood, Nelayan, Tarak, Thugs of America Kuruthi, Badang GF KU PONTIANAK amongst others.
Back home in Africa, he was awarded the Best International Actor of the Year 2017 & 2019 by Ise Parapo Development Association Of Malaysia. The sky is no doubt the start of a great journey for the Osun state born actor and we can’t wait to see where he would place in the nearest future.
