Nollywood actress, Toni Tones has waded in on the controversy surrounding the “bride price” culture which is predominant in Africa.
In a tweet she shared, the actress called for the abolition of bride price because women are not to be sold.
Toni Tones tweeted;

It could be recalled that in the same vein, a Nigerian feminist, Rene Ahmed, who was once married, said that no one will pay her bride price ever again.
The 36-year-old divorcee said if she decides to marry again, that she will pay the man’s bride price if he pays hers.
According to her, bride price is totally unnecessary and it should be illegal.
Still on the bride price matter, former BBNaija reality TV star, Nina sometime ago took to her social media page to reveal that her bride price was paid in full by her husband amid the controversy that she was not properly married to him..
