Veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, HRH Ademola Elegushi and other prominent Nigerians took out time to celebrate the ex governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Raji Fashola who is celebrating his 57th birthday today, 28th of June.
Babatunde Raji Fashola might not be the most popular politician in Nigeria, but for many people in Lagos, he is somewhat of a hero figure. With Fashola, the pride and hope of a city was awakened, their hope captured in his popular saying: Eko O Ni Baje, translated to mean May Lagos Remain Great.
Describing how the ex governor has made him proud, Ace actor, Jide Kosoko wrote “My dear brother, Your Excellency Babatunde Raji Fashola S.A.N. I wish you peace, good health, and happiness. Congratulations and happy birthday to you.As you mark your years of existence on Earth today, I join others in wishing you a very happy birthday. May you have many more years and sound health to stay alive and continue to lead. I am very proud of you and your achievements, thank you for your service”
HRH Saheed Ademola Elegushi wrote “Let me also join other Lagosians and Nigerians in raising a toast to our former Governor and current Minister for Works & Housing, HE Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, on the special occasion of your 57th birthday celebration. You are a special one with a touch of excellence in public administration and we are always proud of you. Happy birthday, Your Excellency”
H.E Babajide Sanwo-Olu also wasn’t left out. He used the opportunity to disclose how the SAN has been a source of inspiration to him.
In his words;
“It gives me great joy to celebrate with former Governor of Lagos state, Hon. Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola (BRF) on the occasion of his birthday today. SAN Babatunde Fashola set a high bar in the administration of Lagos State with great achievements across all sectors. In the last 5 years, he has continued to be inspiring in his extra ordinary service to our country as a Minister of the Federal Republic. Today, on behalf of my family and the good people of Lagos, I wish him more rewarding years ahead in good health and an abundance of grace.”
