Okowa, wife test positive for coronavirus

Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife, Edith, have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The governor announced this on Wednesday via Twitter, saying they are well.

“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter,” Mr Okowa wrote.

This comes days after the governor’s daughter had tested positive for the virus.

In other news, popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, his wife Lola and their daughter Aliona, have all tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

The singer made this known himself on Instagram via some videos. In one of the videos he posted online, Peter said he was the one who first tested positive with the virus.

”For the past three weeks, I have been ill and most people didn’t even know what was wrong with me. I kept it to myself. It has been three weeks of hell for me and my family……..”
