Barely three months after a Nigerian woman identified as Peace Busari was put up for sale on Facebook by a Lebanese man identified as Wael Jero, the woman is reportedly on her way to Nigeria from Lebanon.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa on her Twitter handle on Saturday July 11.
She said 28 other Nigerians who were stranded in Lebanon due to the Coronavirus pandemic, are also on their way back to the country.
According to Abike-Dabiri, also on board is Temitope Ariwolo whose employers accused of murder and refused to let her leave the country.
“29 passengers just departed from Lebanon. And guess what? Temitope, who was left behind last time, accused of murder is on board. And so is Peace Busari, the girl who was put on sale on Facebook and rescued by the Nigerian Mission.” she tweeted.
Recall that WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that an Instagram user, @thereneebisaad has called out a Lebanese national for allegedly putting up a Nigerian lady for sale in Lebanon.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Wael Jerro placed a $1,000 price tag on the Nigerian lady identified Busari Peace Ufuoma in a closed group on Facebook ‘Buy and Sell in Lebanon’.
WITHIN NIGERIA was also reported that a Lebanese man, Wael Jerro has been arrested for advertising a Nigerian lady for sale on Facebook.
It was also reported that days after a Lebanese national identified as Wael Jerro allegedly putting up a Nigerian lady for sale, the 30-year-old Nigerian lady identified as Busari Peace has been rescued.
