Big Brother Nigeria Season five has kicked off in Lagos on Sunday, 19th July 2020. In line with the NCDC’s guidelines on COVID-19, there was no live audience to welcome housemates.
All 20 of the participants have now been unveiled. And they are expected to stay in the house for a maximum of 10 weeks.
Meet the 2020 Big Brother Naija Housemates, the 20 housemates for 2020 are Ozo Chukwu, Victoria Adeyele, Nelson Enwerem (Prince), Boluwatife Aderogba (Lilo), Trikytee, Lucy Essien, Dorathy Bachor, Terseer Kiddwaya, Vee, Praise Nelson, Florence Anyansi (Wathoni), Tochukwu Okechukwu (Tochi), Kate Jones (Ka3na), Ngozi Nlewedim (Erica), Eric Akhigbe, Ezekiel Bright (Brighto), Aisha Umaru (Kaisha), Neo, Tolani Shobajo (Tolanibaj), Layoonn, Nengi.
1. Ozo Chuckwu
The first housemate to be unveiled is Ozo Chukwu. He is a 27-year-old male from Imo State. According to him, one of his greatest achievements is working with a UEFA Federation in Europe.
When he is not analyzing sports, you’ll find him watching documentaries and TV shows.
2. Victoria Adeyele
Victoria Adeyele, who prefers to be called “Vee” is a 23-year-old musician based in Lagos, Nigeria. She was born and raised in London and moved to Lagos almost a year ago to begin her music career where she has already made great strides.
Vee is the second BBNaija Housemate to be unveiled.
3. Prince
Nelson Enwerem Prince, simply known as Prince, is a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Abia State. His portfolio includes modeling, fashion designing, and interior decoration.
He’s a graduate of pure physics from the University of Calabar and currently resides in Lagos.
4. Lilo
Boluwatife Aderogba, who prefers to be called Lilo, is a 23-year-old dietitian from Lagos, Nigeria. He is also an entrepreneur and describes herself as “a product of God’s grace”.
5. Trikytee
Trickytee is the fifth Housemate to be unveiled in the BBNaija 2020 house.
The 35-year-old whose real name is Timmy Sinclair is a creative artist and Lagos resident who hails from Bayelsa State, Nigeria. He considers himself a storyteller who uses the mediums of film, and music to express himself.
6. Lucy Essien
The sixth person to enter into the Big Brother season 5 house is Lucy Essien. She is a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Lagos.
She tags herself a simple girl who is, however, “far from average”.
7. Kiddwaya
The 7th person to enter into the Big Brother Naija 2020 house is Terseer Kiddwaya, better known as Kiddwaya. He is a 27-year-old entrepreneur from Benue State.
He describes himself as confident, good looking, ambitious, a daredevil who is highly motivated.
8. Dorathy Bachor
Dorathy Bachor, simply known as Dorathy, is a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Lagos.
She believes she is the only one who should make you smile. Her sassiness will definitely prove to be an asset in Biggie’s house.
9. Praise Nelson
Praise Nelson is a 28-year-old dancer from Enugu. The talented young man is not new to the limelight, as he was a winner at the K-Pop World Festival, South Korea 2015. He also emerged third place at a national Dance Competition in 2010.
He refers to himself as the life of the party.
10. Florence Wathoni Anyansi
The 9th person the be unveiled as a BBNaija 2020 housemate is Florence Wathoni Anyansi, who prefers to be called Wathoni.
Florence is a 29-year-old fashion entrepreneur. She is a single mother who juggles between running a fashion business and a parenting blog. She is also bilingual and speaks and writes in Swahili fluently.
11. Tochi
Tochukwu Okechukwu Tochi, who prefers to be called simply Tochi, is a 28-year-old rapper and real estate agent from Imo state.
In his own words, he “lives and breathes entertainment”.
Tochi is the 11th housemate to be unveiled into the Big Brother Naija season 5 house.
12. Kate Jones
Kate Jones, who prefers to be called Ka3na, is a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Rivers, Nigeria. She describes herself as a strong woman who wants more from life.
Ka3na is the 12th housemate to be unveiled in the Big Brother Naija House for 2020.
She says she dreams to become famous and own the biggest luxury fashion brand in the world. She also claims she’s ready to do all it takes to compete and win Big Brother Naija season 5.
13. Eric Akhigbe
The 13th housemate to be unveiled is Eric Akhigbe. He is a final year student at the University of Lagos and hails from Edo State.
He is a bodybuilder who stands at a massive height of 1.95m (6ft4). He describes himself as a fun, competitive sports and fitness enthusiast who enjoys winning.
He, however, admits to being a shy person who takes his time to unveil his wild side.
14. Ngozi Erica Nlewedim
Ngozi Erica Nlewedim, who prefers to be called Erica, is a 26-year-old actress and commercial model who resides in London, England.
She returned to Lagos after studying screen acting at the Met Film School in London.
15. Brighto
Ezekiel Bright Osemudiame, who prefers to be called Brighto, is a 29-year-old sailor from Edo State.
He is the youngest of six kids and holds a degree in Marine Engineering from Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt. He also boasts several other professional certifications and had a stint in the aviation sector.
Brighto considers himself an avid entertainment lover and a people’s person.
16. Aisha Umar
Aisha Umar, Better known as Kaisha, is a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Sokoto State. She is the 16th person to be unveiled as a housemate in the Big Brother Naija 2020 reality TV show.
She considers herself an adventurous young woman and a great team player who gets along with people.
17. Neo
Emuobonuvie Akpofure, who prefers to be called Neo, is a 26-year-old ride-hailing app driver from Delta State.
Neo describes himself as fun, tolerant, loving and smart, he won’t hesitate to be Indaboski Bahose when it comes to issues concerning bullying and inequality.
18. Tolanibaj
Tolani Shobajo, who fondly calls herself Tolanibaj is a 27-year-old media personality from Lagos state. She is the 19th person to be unveiled into the Big Brother Naija season 5 house.
She refers to herself as an energetic gingered babe.
19. Laycon
Olamilekan AgbelesheLaycon, best known as Laycon, is the 19th person to be unveiled as a housemate in the BBNaija 2020 season.
He is a 26-year-old singer and rapper from Lagos who studied philosophy at the University of Lagos. He describes himself as being versatile and able to coin words together to soothe scenarios and moods.
20. Nengi
The last Housemate to enter the BBNaija House is Rebecca Hampson, better known as Nengi.
She is a former model and Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Top 5 contestant. Nengi describes herself as a person who loves learning new things, having fun, traveling, taking on new adventures, and being true to herself.
She is a graduate of communications at the University of Port Harcourt.
