As Nigeria continues its fight against Coronavirus, no fewer than 555 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded, making the total number of confirmed cases of the deadly disease to be more than 40,000.
This was disclosed in a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night.
According to the tweet, the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is now 40,532 with 17,374 patients discharged and 858 deaths recorded.
It was revealed that Lagos State had the highest number of cases on Sunday, with 156, Kano State followed with 65 cases and Ogun State was next with 57 cases.

According to him, he apparently contracted the virus through eating with people, as he was very notorious for being fanatical about everyone wearing face masks and observing social distancing, especially during the lockdown.
