President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Comrade Oshiomhole was taken to the President’s office by the Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
Oshiomhole, dressed in his traditional khaki suit, was seen with the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, on the walkway, heading towards the President’s office.
The purpose of the meeting with the President is unknown as at the time of filing in this report but it may not be unconnected to the forthcoming governorship elections in Edo State.
Lately the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the candidate of the party in the forthcoming Edo State gubernatorial election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, to refrain from attempts to intimidate Governor Godwin Obaseki who is the PDP’s flag bearer in the election.
Gave the warning when reacting to the alleged attacked on Obaseki’s convoy in Oshiomhole’s homestead while on a campaign visit on Thursday, the party admonished the APC chieftains to understand that the governor enjoys that confidence of the people of the state.
