Nigeria records 410 new COVID-19 cases, total rises to 49,895

As Nigeria continues its fight against Coronavirus, no fewer than 410 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded as the total number of confirmed cases hits 49,895.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday night.

According to the NCDC, Lagos recorded 210 of the 410 cases, followed by FCT with 45, Ondo with 30 and Plateau 21.

The rest are: “Edo-19, Ogun-16, Oyo-13, Nasarawa-12, Bauchi-11, Enugu-10, Kwara-7, Kaduna-6, Anambra-4, Ebonyi-3, Abia-2, Rivers-1”.

NCDC further revealed that 37,051 people have been discharged so far in Nigeria while 981 people have lost their lives to the virus.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 417 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, bringing the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 infection cases to 49,485.

The NCDC made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Monday.
