Vehicle of a yet-to-be identified man believed to be the leader of a rival group has been set ablazed by youths suspected to be members of a cult group at Okaka community along Air-force road in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the incident which occurred late in the night saw residents leaving the area in the early hours of today for fear of a reprisal attack by the affected cult group.

Reacting to the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Asinim Butswat said the command has been directed by the state police commissioner Mike Okoli to form a vigilante group to complement the effort of the police.

Despite the efforts of the police to arrest the situation, cult related clashes have been on the increase in Bayelsa state.
