Police in Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a 43-year-old man for allegedly raping, impregnating and infecting a 16-year-old girl with HIV.
This development was confirmed by the Adamawa state Police Public Relations officer DSP Suleiman Nguroje.
The PPRO said the suspect has been apprehended by police and is in the State Criminal Investigative Department CID.
He said the suspect took the victim to the house of a commissioner names withheld and committed the heinous act and also assured that the suspect would be charged to court soon.
Reacting to the development, Alh. Husseini Gambo Bello Nakura said his organisation whose aim is to fight for the rights of downtrodden in Adamawa alerted the police authorities over the destardly acts and the suspect arrested.
The suspect who is 43-years old, one Abdul Sarki Baka, has infected a 16-year-old girl with HIV in Karlahi Verre in Fufore Local Government area of Adamawa state.
Hussaini further said that Abdul Sarki Baka, has been a serial rapist in Baka Vilage of Karlahi who has been in the habit of raping one Aishatu Muhammadu since she was thirteen years old.
He revealed that Abdul Sarki has been raping her in the pretence of getting married to her and the vain relationship led to having three pregnancies with her since she was thirteen years old and the pregnancies aborted.
Gambo said the case brought to him by some concern people in Karlahi, lamenting how the said Sarki destroyed the future of innocent Aishatu haven infected her with HIV and aborted three pregnancies.
“The case in my desk is so pathetic to the hearing of any good Nigerian, this man has defiled the innocent girl since she was thirteen, end up given her HIV and three abortions were carried out in her womb.
He, however, called on concerned Adamawa people to be at a watch for the young girl to get justice.
According to him the said Pakka is being supported by a particular politician to bail him out.
“Justice must be given to whoever that deserves it and Adamawa concerned citizens must go to any length for Aishatu to secured justice.” He added
