PHOTOS: Flood collapses Margai bridge in Sokoto, disconnects communities

Margai bridge linking Kebbe Local Government Area with other parts of Sokoto State, has collapsed after a severe flooding, leaving many communities disconnected in the State.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that a section of the bridge was washed away by a ravaging flood on Tuesday, September 8.

It was gathered that the washed section of the bridge, which was built during the tenure of Governor Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, has left residents with only one alternative route 100 kilometres away from Sokoto metropolis which is a road that is linking them with Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
