As the battle against Coronavirus continues, Nigeria has recorded 136 new cases of the deadly virus in 11 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja with a total of 58,460 confirmed cases.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its daily update on Monday’s night.
The centre, NCDC revealed that Lagos recorded 71 of the 136 cases, followed by Rivers with 23, Rivers with 12 and Adamawa 6.
Other states include: “Oyo – 6, Kaduna – 5, Abia – 3, FCT – 3, Katsina – 2, Kwara – 2, Bauchi – 1, Borno – 1, Edo – 1”.
In a similar development, Kogi and Zamfara have confirmed less than 100 positive infections, respectively eventhough both states currently have no active cases.
Kogi has recorded a total of five infections, while Zamfara has confirmed 78 positive samples.
Out of a total of 58,460 confirmed cases recorded across the 36 states and the FCT, 7,454 are still active.
