Muyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos state has disclosed that three officers in the command were shot during a protest against police brutality.
According to Muyiwa Adejobi, the three officers are currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH.
Recall that the protest in Surulere turned violent today October 12 after the protesters clashed with the police.
Adejobi averred he wasn’t aware but that three police officers who were shot by protesters today have been rushed to the hospital.
”Our anti-kidnapping unit officers were shot. Three of them were shot. They are in ICU now. They are LASUTH now” he said
Adejobi said the officers were in mufti when they were attacked by the protesters.
He added that the command will release an official statement soon.
