Amid the ongoing #EndSARS protests, the United Kingdom has called on the federal government to respect the rights of protesting Nigerians
Catriona Laing, British high commissioner to Nigeria who commended the federal government’s decision to disband the special anti-robbery squad (SARS), stated that the IGP’s commitment to ensure accountability for human rights violations is essential to restoring public confidence.
She asked the federal government to respect the rights of protesters while also urging them to remain peaceful during the protests.
Laing tweeted;
