The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Tuesday, October 13, issued Certificates of Return to Ondo state Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy Lucky Ayedatiwa.
Both Akeredolu and Ayedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious after Ondo state governorship election last Saturday.
Ondo Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ambassador Rufus Akeju, who presented the certificate of return to Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa, urged the Governor to continue to provide basic services, basic amenities and infrastructure for the masses.
Akeredolu hailed the electoral body for conducting free and fair elections.
Akeredolu pledged to provide more infrastructural development across the state.
Akeredolu, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner after polling a total 292,830 votes ahead of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede who polled 195,791.
Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) was in a distant third having scored 69,127 votes.
