Tension in Osun community as angry youths invaded the Iwo Local Government Secretariat on Saturday morning.
This is coming barely 24 hours after some youths invaded COVID-19 warehouse in Ede and one of the national silos in Ilesa.
This is coming a day after some youths looted COVID-19 warehouse in Ilesha and Ede.
As at the time of reportage, the angry youths are still looting valuables in the offices.
WITHIN NIGERIA reporter came across some pictures and videos of angry youths looting and carting away items and properties belonging to the local government.
According to eyewitnesses, parts of the secretariat building have been set ablaze while the youth are currently moving to Iwo East LCDA.
Reports also revealed that some angry youths reportedly invaded the residence of Adelere Oriolowo, a senator representing the Osun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
An associate of the Senator who spoke under anonymity said efforts were going on to rescue Mr Oriolowo’s building from damage.
In a similar development, hundreds of youth have invaded the office of the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuff.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the angry youths came on motorcycles with many of them armed with machetes and axes of different sizes.
