Trump supporters storm the streets, reject Biden’s victory

Reports revealed that President Donald Trump’s supporters are protesting his electoral loss in the United States presidential election.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the protesters stormed major streets in Washington as they backed the president’s claim of alleged fraud in the election.

Recall that Joe Biden, Democratic candidate who defeated Donald Trump has now polled 306 electoral votes, more than the 270 threshold needed to win.

But the US president has remained unrelenting even in defeat.

He alleged that the election was fraught with irregularities and has filed various court applications challenging the outcome, although election officials dispute the claim.

However, the United States Election Coordinating Council said there is no evidence of compromised ballots or corrupt voting system in the recent election.

On Saturday, demonstrators held several rallies across Washington under various movements including “Million MAGA March”, the “March for Trump” and “Stop the Steal DC”.

There are also reports of planned counter-protests as law enforcement agencies remain on high alert over fears over potential violence.

Trump acknowledged his supporters on Friday, saying: “I may even try to stop by and say hello.”

“Heartwarming to see all of the tremendous support out there, especially the organic Rallies that are springing up all over the Country, including a big one on Saturday in D.C.,” he tweeted.
