Garba Shehu, senior special assistant on Media and Publicity to the President has turned down a challenge extended to him by a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri that he will give Garba Shehu the sum of $20,000 if he would spend a night in Koshebe, Borno state or Kware in Sokoto state without security.
This is coming hours after Mr Garba Shehu issued a statement that President Muhammadu Buhari had made Nigeria safer.
Reacting to the challenge, Garba Shehu stated that the money Omokri attached to the challenge might have come from an alleged collections made in the name of Leah Sharibu, who he described as the unfortunate Christian girl stolen by Boko Haram.
Replying Garba Shehu, the former presidential aide fired back by challenging those in the present administration to come up with proof of him making money off Leah Sharibu.
Omokri also asked Garba Shehu to focus on the issue at hand and take up the challenges.
Media personality, Dele Momodu also waded into the challenge. He disclosed that he got a call from Reno Omokri for the challenge and further told Garba Shehu to take it up as a disciple of President Buhari.
