Nigerian lawmaker, Ike Ekweremadu, a former Deputy Senate President, is trending on micro-blogging platform; Twitter with the hashtag #EkweremaduChasedAgain and here is why.

On Sunday, January 3, the Senator from Enugu state was reportedly whisked away in Ulunya, Ovoko, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, when some suspected thugs invaded a football pitch where he kicked-off a match.

It was gathered that some thugs who were not comfortable that the football tournament was sponsored by Ike Oha Foundation, owned by Ekweremadu, pulled down the goal posts and allegedly chased the lawmaker and his entourage out of the match venue.

Well, this is not the first time the federal lawmaker has been chased or humiliated in the public eyes, WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Ekweremadu was physically attacked by a mob while attending a cultural event in Germany in 2019.
