Nigeria records 964 new COVID-19 cases

NCDC Confirms 86 New Cases Of COVID-19, Total Now 627

As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 964 new cases of deadly virus in 17 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Sunday, January 25, 2021.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 360 new cases, the highest for the day.

Other states with new cases include FCT-88, Ogun-73, Imo-72, Kaduna-67, Plateau-57, Abia-41, Osun-41, Rivers-32, Kano-26, Niger-24, Benue-23, Edo-20, Cross River-20, Akwa Ibom-8, Nasarawa-6, Zamfara-6, Ekiti-6 and Jigawa-4.

The agency also disclosed that they were 774 community recoveries in Lagos State.

Nigeria now has a total of 121,566 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 97,228 patients have been discharged so far with 1,504 deaths recorded.
