Three Nigerian nationals have been deported from India for illegal stay, Delhi Police said on Monday, January 25, 2021.
According to DCP, Dwarka Police, Santosh Kumr Meena, the Nigerians, who were found living in the country without valid papers, were picked up by the staff of PS Mohan Garden during patrolling duty.
It will be recalled that ten Nigerian nationals were arrested by the police in Dwarka district on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, for not having valid visas and overstaying illegally in India. Six of them have so far been deported.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that 2 Nigerians were last Thursday, deported from India for overstaying their visas, the Delhi Police said.
According to a statement released on its official Twitter page, the Dwarka Police said the two Nigerians and a Sudanese were arrested and deported by officers from Uttam Nagar Police Station, after they were found to be living in India without valid visas and passports.
