“Worst day of my life” – Super Eagles John Ogu announces death of mum

Ugochukwu John Ogu, a Nigerian professional footballer and Super Eagles midfielder, has announced the death of his mother as he described Monday, January 25 as the worst day of his life.

The bereaved footballer took to the micro blogging platform, Twitter, to announce the death of his beloved mother, as he wrote;

“Worse day of my life.”

Though he didn’t state what happened, his mother’s death was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on their verified Twitter handle on Monday January 25.

The NFF wrote;

“Our thoughts and prayers are with @NGSuperEagles midfielder @ogujohnugo following the passing of his Mom. May her gentle soul rest In peace.”

Fans were also quick to offer their condolence to the Super Eagles star, see some comments below;
