As the battle against COVID-19 becomes tougher, Nigeria has recorded 1634 new cases of the deadly virus in 24 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Tuesday, February 2.
According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 440 fresh cases of the viral disease while the FCT recorded 158 new cases.
Other states with fresh cases include Anambra-160, Rivers-134, Abia-103, Oyo-90, Enugu-81, Osun-73, Gombe-54, Kwara-50, Ogun-32, Plateau-32, Akwa Ibom-31, Ondo-24, Borno-23, Delta-23, Ebonyi-21, Taraba-21, Bayelsa-16, Kaduna-15, Nasarawa-13, Jigawa-12, Bauchi-11, Kano-11, Zamfara-4 and Sokoto-2.
Nigeria now has 133, 552 fresh cases of the viral disease. 107, 551 patients have been successfully treated and discharged. 1, 613 patients have sadly died from the disease.
