47-year-old Jeffrey Spaide, shot his feuding neighbors dead with handgun and rifle for shoveling snow into his yard, before turning gun on himself.
The violent incident took place at the height of Monday’s Nor’easter storm in Plains Township in the suburbs of Scranton, as James and Lisa Goy were killed Monday after Jeffrey Spaide confronted them for shoveling snow away from their parking spaces and onto his property, reports said.
Disturbing video has emerged showing the Pennsylvania couple yelling obscenities at the neighbor, before the man grabs a gun and fatally shoots the husband and wife in the middle of the street, the gunman would take his own life before the police arrive.
The confrontation was not the first between the households, which got into another disagreement following a snowstorm two months ago, reports said.
After a review of the case, District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis said Tuesday she will direct the investigation to be closed.
Prosecutors said officers were dispatched to West Bergh Street shortly before 9 a.m. Monday to a report of shots fired.
Officers found James and Lisa Goy dead in the street, and heard a gunshot from Spaide’s home that authorities believe was from his self-inflicted gunshot wound.
