As the fight against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 1056 new cases of the deadly virus in 21 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Tuesday, February 9.
According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 214 fresh cases while Osun had 120 fresh cases.
Other places with fresh cases include FCT-116, Plateau-88, Ebonyi-75, Kwara-73, Gombe-70, Ondo-57, Rivers-47, Akwa Ibom-38, Edo-25, Oyo-23, Kano-22, Delta-19, Katsina-18, Borno-16, Nasarawa-13, Ekiti-8, Ogun-8, Bauchi-4, Benue-1 and Jigawa-1.
Nigeria now has 141, 447 confirmed cases of the disease. 115, 755 patients have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1, 694 patients have died from the disease.
