IGP, Police Minister, NSA Munguno, others arrive Niger state for rescue operation of abducted students

The Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, the National Security Adviser, Babagana Munguno and the Minister of Police have moved to Niger state for a rescue mission of the abducted students of the Government Science College Kagara.

This development was announced by the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Bashir Ahmad via his official Twitter handle.

The tweet reads:

”The National Security Adviser (NSA), IG of Police, Interior, Information and Police Affairs Ministers are currently in Minna, Niger State as part of the Federal Government rescue operations of students of the Government Science College, Kagara, abducted by bandits last night.”

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that several students at Government Science College (GSC) Kagara, in Niger State, have been abducted by bandits.

The bandits in military uniforms stormed the school premises which has close to 1000 students on Tuesday night, overpowered the security guard, before whisking away the students.

The bandits were said to have gathered some staff and students at a place for hours before moving them out of the school premises to an unknown destination.
