Life is incredibly fleeting. The more we reflect on how quickly individuals age, the more we become preoccupied with how quickly people die. The mirror of life. Only when you are living can you look in the mirror and see yourself.
Literally speaking, this implies that you can only strive toward your goals and realize your aspirations while you’re still living. We lament the loss of our loved ones when they pass away, but unrealized potential causes us much more sorrow.
Yemi Adeyemi, well known as “Suara,” was a seasoned Nollywood actor who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 75. According to sources, the actor who devoted his life to producing morally upright movies died naturally because he wasn’t ill.
Close friends and admirers affectionately referred to him as “Suara,” and he did not leave this world without leaving his mark on the film business. He was a man who was adored primarily for his acting prowess and linguistic mastery.
Adeyemi, an Ile-Ife native, was born in the 1940s to Mr. and Mrs. Adeyemi. His mother belonged to a church of the Cherubim and Seraphim, while his father was a native doctor and seer. The account of Yemi Adeyemi, affectionately known as “Suara,” is comparable to those of some Nigerians whose parents practice different religions.
Fortunately for “Suara,” as he was affectionately known, he united the knowledge of the two religions to fulfill his life’s purpose. He didn’t let his parents’ different religious beliefs weaken or confuse him; instead, he made the most of the uncommon opportunity.
Yemi Adeyemi ‘Suara’ explained in an interview with PUNCH that his mother did not oppose his decision to practice traditional religion, when asked why he chose to follow his mother’s path rather than his father’s in terms of spirituality.
The truth is that my father had an advantage over her to the point that she used to drive him to church each Sunday. Being a very skilled drummer, I quickly rose to the position of lead drummer in the church, which sparked my interest in Christianity, he continued.
“Suara” did not stray into the Nigerian film industry. More than enthusiasm, which he developed through drumming and theatrical performances, was what propelled him into the film industry. At the University of Ife, currently known as Obafemi Awolowo University, he studied martial arts. He worked hard to get into the university in order to change his father’s perception of his future as a police officer.
As a recent graduate of the former University of Ife, he entered the workforce with a degree and a passion for what he did. He then joined the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as a producer and director, where he made a significant contribution to the expansion of high-quality shows. He was preparing for a spectacular entry into the film industry while working with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
Fortunately, he took part in the hit TV show “Super Story” and played the character of “Suara” with grace, style, and grit, earning him universal respect in the process. Yemi Adeyemi rose to fame and became a sensation in the film industry in the blink of an eye.

Despite having three wives who collectively had him eight children, he only allowed women to live in his life. He was also a contentious individual. Of course, a famous person like Suara wouldn’t have been on the planet without causing controversy. He denied dating Bukky Wright and Sola Shobowale in an interview with PUNCH on September 1st, 2018, which was the subject of the allegations.
Even though Yemi Adeyemi insisted he had no regrets, he listed having multiple wives as one of his greatest life challenges. Despite never having more than one wife in my home, “I never had the intention of marrying more than one wife.” But I have three girlfriends who are carrying my children,” he admitted to the interviewer.
Yemi Adeyemi, also known as “Suara,” has breathed his last. The seasoned actor, whose passion for playing was unmatched, visited Hades and sat among great figures of talent, poise, and ambition. The fact that the Ife-born actor achieved his life’s goals through performing should comfort us while we grieve for his passing. “Suara did not pass away in vain.” It should be a celebration of a remarkable lifetime.
