According to the elder sister, the victim, a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka left home to see a friend but has never come back since then.

“She Joy Onyebuchukwu Anulika left her village, Ichida in Anambra state for Awka,on the 26th of December,2021. She told her brother she was going to collect table and chair from a friend in school(UNIZIK).

Asked if she has contacted the friend the missing sister has gone to see, the sister said that “she didn’t mention the name of the friend and we have not seen the friend for the first time.”

Narrating further Ada said that “then that night, her brother called her, her phone was switched off, the next day a boy from school called her brother to inform him that he hasn’t seen Joy. And ever since then, we have been looking for her, all to no a avail.

On whether the family has reported to the security agents about the incident, the elder sister stressed that thus; “yes, we have reported to the police after the incident. In fact, we have spent a lot on police case. They kept on telling us come today, come tomorrow. They didn’t do anything to bring back my sister, instead they were just extorting us on top of pains we are going through.”

Asked if she suspected any foul play in the sister’s sudden disappearance, Ada said that she felt that Daniel who called victim’s brother to inform him of the ugly has some things up his sleeves.

In her words, “the guy Daniel that called Joy’s brother, to inform him that he hasn’t heard from Joy since they planned their visit has something he is hiding.”

On what she felt that has happened to Joy, she replied, “I feel she was kidnapped and being held hostage somewhere.”

She stated that though the family has not been contacted by the suspected kidnappers for any ransom, she was very much sure that Joy has been abducted and kept.

Ada further stated that since the ugly incident, the family has literally lost vibes, joy and happiness, stressing that it has not been easy to endure such lost.

Expressing her optimism, she told our reporter that she is sure that Joy is still alive.

She therefore, appealed to any person who has any information that could lead to the recovery her younger sister to report same to the nearest police station or call 08106110447.
